Presentation of the the Monts d'Orb Community of Municipalities Edito Composition of Concil Lettre d'Infos

Our region is beautiful; it is original by its geologic variety, its restless relief and its geographical situation in the crossroads of Mediterranean, oceanic influences and mountain dwellers. This country welcomed and forged the generations of people, combative, opened and united.
It is in this spirit of solidarity that the Monts d'Orb Community was created in 1993 to face notably the closure announced by coalmines.

Seventeen men and women elected in the Community Council , build together a project of territory which respects the identities of every municipality in the same ambition to develop and to make known a country where life is enjoyable, where we are welcomed well and on which we want to build the future.
Our assembly is recognized by the services of the French State, the Languedoc-Roussillon Region and the Department (county) of the Herault which support and accompany our projects among which some of them reach their stage of realization today:

• Rehabilitation of the site of the ancient glass factory in the Bousquet d'Orb with the aim of the development of the village,
• Increase and arrangement of the industrial buildings in the Bousquet d'Orb
• Arrangement of the access to "Le Domaine de la pièce" in St Gervais sur Mare
• Realization of social housing in the village of Graissessac,
• Realization of a cultural equipment in the room of the ancient bar "Café Mounis" in Graissessac,
• Rehabilitation of the intermunicipal dump situated in Graissessac
• Signature of an agreement with the department of the Herault for the cultural actions.

Other projects are in preparation. We remain mobilized and coordinate our actions so that the inhabitants, the visitors, the holidaymakers of any ages and any origin are proud to live in the Monts d'Orb.
