With its sports ground offering a wide variety of sports right next to the campsite on the banks of the River Orb, as well as hiking paths, hospitable guest rooms, comfortable holiday cottages and friendly local farmers (producing honey, wine, cheese and fruit), La Tour sur Orb has something for everybody.
La Tour sur Orb - its very name evokes a rich mediaeval history - still bears many traces of its past. The ancient fortified village of Boussagues boasts several castles (12th and 17th century), while the 8 chapels, churches and cloisters in the village and its hamlets take you back through 1, 000 years of religious architecture (the chapels are the venues for concerts and guided tours).
In the springtime, its extensive cherry orchard (one of the largest in Europe) gives the limestone plateau - or causse - above Boussagues an air of Japan. The causse is also the site of the Bédarieux/La Tour sur Orb flying club.
